Doctors are key users in ClinicWP who can manage patients, create examinations, set their own availability, and view appointments. When you create a doctor, ClinicWP automatically generates a WordPress user account with secure login credentials, giving them access to a dedicated doctor dashboard.
Accessing Doctor Management
- Log in to WordPress admin dashboard
- Navigate to
ClinicWP→Doctors - Click the
Add Newbutton at the top of the page
Creating a New Doctor
- Fill in Personal Information
- Assign Clinic and Department
- Choose at least one clinic where this doctor practices
- Multiple clinics: Check all applicable clinics if the doctor works at multiple locations
- Patients will see this doctor as available at selected clinics
- Choose at least one department/specialty
- Multiple departments: Check all applicable departments if the doctor practices in multiple specialties
- Example: A doctor might belong to both “Internal Medicine” and “Cardiology”
Note: A doctor can belong to multiple clinics AND multiple departments. This flexibility supports:
- Doctors who work at different locations on different days
- Doctors who practice in multiple medical specialties
- Multi-clinic practices with shared staff
After the doctor is created, the system will send a welcome email to the email address you provided for this doctor. The welcome email contains the login credentials of the doctor. The welcome email can be customized at ClinicWP → Settings → Email Templates → New Doctor Welcome Email
